Renovation of a museum in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

The Village of Arlington Heights, Illinois ("Requestor") is issuing a Request for Proposal ("RFP") from qualified Masonry firms to provide Brick Facade Restoration services related to the Heritage Gallery Brick Facade Restoration ("Project"). The Heritage Gallery is under the jurisdiction of The Village of Arlington Heights, The Arlington Heights Park District, and the Arlington Heights Historical Society. The Village of Arlington Heights will be acting as the Lead Agency for all of the work on this contract. Scope of Work Tuck Pointing: All Mortar Joins Must Be Ground and Tuck-pointed at All Mortar Joints on the Front of the Building and Where the Corners Turn to Meet Common Brick, Brick, Bottom Limestone, Limestone Banding, Etc. The Contractor Must Use a Single Tile Grinder Blade, Which is Thin Enough to Remove the Original Mortar. All Joints Must Be Ground to Sound Mortar and Tuckpointed With New Hydrated Lime Mortar. Mortar Must Be Dyed to the Color Chosen by the Village of Arlington Heights. All Mortar Joints Will Be Tooled Flush With the Face of the Brick. The Village of Arlington Heights Must Approve a Mockup of the Grinding and Tuck Point Before Starting Work Before Work Can Continue. Brick Replacement: Remove and Replace All Bricks That Are Cracked, Broken, Missing, or With Holes. The Brick Will Be Replaced With the Original Brick Stock Provided by the Village of Arlington Heights. Before Any Bricks Are Removed From the Building, the Contractor Must Ensure That a Direct Original Replacement is Available. Clean and Seal: Once Repairs Have Been Completed, the Facade Must Be Cleaned With Masonry Cleaner to Remove All Dirt, Debris, and Excess Mortar From the Wall's Surface. The Contractor Must Then Apply Two Coats of Clear Seal O Pore Wb Sealer to the Masonry Walls to Be Applied at 100 Sq Ft Per Gallon.
