The work will include the following items: Milling existing asphalt pavement, full depth patching of existing pavement, utility adjustments, asphalt concrete surface course, shoulder, curb and ditch repair. Each Proposal shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash or CERTIFIED CHECK on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Proposal, said check to be made payable to the Town of Gibsonville. In lieu of the above cash or CERTIFIED CHECK, the bidder may execute a Bid Bond for the same amount. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise provisions are included in the contract. The contractor should study and become familiar with these items. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, by order of the Board of Aldermen, Town of Gibsonville, North Carolina. Question Deadline 04/29/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents and the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda, mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only answers issued by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
