Site work for a civil project in St. Clair Township, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
The work is located on White Line over Clay Creek east of Baseline Road, northeast of Sombra. The work includes: - Removal of existing bridge superstructure. - Rehabilitation of the substructure: Repairs to abutment, wingwalls, and bearing seat. - Construct new bridge superstructure: concrete deck on steel beams with 3 tube railings on concrete curbs. Also included shall be approach slabs at both ends of the structure. - New Steel Beam Guiderail: Guiderail shall connect to the concrete end walls at the ends of the wingwalls and install the guiderail as indicated on the contract drawings/ - Road regrading and lane queuing: Queuing lanes shall be added on the approaches at both ends of the structure. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to familiarize themselves, and/or their sub-contractors, with the existing site conditions. The Municipality will NOT be responsible for any extra costs that may result from failure to complete an existing site investigation.
