Renovation of a fire / police facility in Naperville, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

An upgrade to the bathrooms and shower facilities for Station 4 - the main Training Facility. This is to accommodate modern gender equality concerns and as part of a recommendation from the CPSE Accreditation Team. This renovation would accomplish two major goals. 1st, it would provide privacy and adequate accommodation for fire academy personnel as they use restrooms, showers, and locker facilities, which are currently not available. Secondly, the current practice for academy members is to utilize the facilities at station four, which are not adequate for the amount of personnel in the academy as well as the full-time firefighter paramedics stationed there. Project is included in the City of Naperville, Capital Improvement Plan for FY2024-2028. As of June 11, 2024, project is funded for construction FY2025. Timeline March 1, 2025-December 31, 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
