**As of May 21, 2024, project was awarded to Menning Excavating, Inc., awarded amount is $3,825,057.91.** Water Main Replacement Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or draft of five percent (5%) of the amount bid, and issued by a State or National Bank and made payable to the City of Huron, or in lieu thereof a bid bond of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. Such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, payable to the City of Huron, as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of Huron, South Dakota. Performance and Payment Bond: Performance and payment bonds are required for all construction contracts and must be provided in accordance with the General Conditions. The Bidder agrees to complete all work prior to October 31, 2026. Liquidated damages in accordance with the schedule in the General Conditions of the Contract Documents shall apply for any work remaining after this date. The Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted. The Bidder agrees that the right is reserved by the City of Huron to reject any or all bids. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
