Contract Period: One (1) Year With the Option to Renew for Four (4) Additional One-year Periods The Board of Education of St. Mary's County on behalf of St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) is requesting sealed bids from experienced and qualified Contractors to provide services for fire alarm and intrusion detection system monitoring, reporting, and maintenance. The selected contractors shall provide monitoring, reporting, testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm, fire protection, and intrusion alarm systems for all SMCPS schools and administrative buildings in accordance with the most recent standards set forth by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and any other present day local, state, federal, and NFPA codes or requirements. Contractors responding to this Invitation to Bid (ITB) must be available by telephone twenty-four (24) hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five (365) days a year, and be able to arrive at a worksite within two (2) hours of receiving an emergency call from SMCPS. SMCPS intends to award a one year contract with SMCPS having the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods to the bidder(s) selected as the lowest responsible bidder(s) and whose response meets SMCP's requirements. Prospective bidders may request that SMCPS clarify information contained in this bid. All such requests must be made in writing to Patrick McCall, Procurement Coordinator.
