The Falmouth Housing Authority (FHA) the Awarding Authority, invites proposals from qualified licensed Plumbers to perform General and Emergency Service. The project consists of general and emergency work that includes, but is not limited to: replacement of supply lines and valves, pinhole leaks in type M copper lines and other lines, replace filters on water mains, replace bathroom sink and tub stoppers, unclog toilets, sinks and drains, replace toilet flanges, remove existing faucets and toilets and replace with new, repair expansion tank lines on boilers, perform boiler inspections, install kitchen strainers and tailpieces, repair shower diverters and cartridges, and other general plumbing work. Interested vendors are requested to provide their standard hourly rate, overtime rate, and hours of regular service and identify when overtime hours begin and end. Proposals must also include travel time/mileage rates if these fees are to be reimbursed as part of the contract. The contract will be for three (3) years and will ensure that first calls are made to the selected vendor for services. The annual value of the contract ranges between $50k - $120k, depending on the type and frequency of work performed based on work orders, planned work and/or emergency issues. Note: Single work that exceeds $10k in value requires separate procurement. This contract is only for general plumbing and/ or emergency issues. Depending on the emergency, some emergency work may require additional procurement. Some work requires that permits from the Town of Falmouth be pulled. It is the vendor's responsibility to understand and confirm which work requires Town of Falmouth permits. Proposals are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive and the Bacon/Davis wage rate, whichever hourly rate pays more. The project is subject to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Contact FHA to review plumping plans associated with each building (Harborview, Rose Morin, Salt Sea, Mayflower-Choate and Tataket Apartments). FHA does not have a separate layout for each scattered site; typical unit sizes vary between 2-4 bedrooms and are primarily located in East Falmouth; FHA also owns a group home that is two-stories and includes 8 rooms plus office(s) and common areas.
