Douglas County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to accept bids most advantageous to Douglas County. Project: Douglas County Forestry Department in Douglas County, Wisconsin is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Ericson Creek Bridge Replacement project. The proposed project location was once a vehicle bridge crossing for Ericson Creek Road. The gravel roadway is still intact and passable to the location and allows public access across Ericson Creek for recreational vehicles and pedestrian traffic. Remnants of the old abutments are still visible onsite. There is no bridge currently at the project location. The proposed bridge is a 45' long 12' wide clear span met- al bridge. The metal bridge will be set on piles. A sheet pile abutment wall, or similar, will be constructed to protect the piles. All equipment and materials to complete the project at the proposed new location will be brought to the site via Ericson Rd. Access is available from both sides of the creek. The horizontal alignment will not deviate from the existing trail. The contractor shall supply engineer stamped structural plans for the bridge structure and sheet pile abutments.
