General Project Description: The Town of Normal ("Town") is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors ("Contractor") to perform concrete pavement joint or crack routing/saw cutting and filling on Beech Street from Locust Street to Basswood Lane in Normal, IL. Approximately 43,700 LF of JOINT OR CRACK ROUTING and 13,540 LB of JOINT OR CRACK FILLING is proposed. This is a prevailing-wage project. The bid award will be made by the Town Council, and the decision of the Council will be final. Questions must be submitted by Friday, April 19th, 2024 at 5:00PM, as to give sufficient time to address items by addendum This project consists of furnishing all work necessary for the completion of concrete pavement joint or crack routing/saw cutting and filling on Beech Street from Locust Street to Basswood Lane in Normal, IL. Approximately 43,700 LF of JOINT OR CRACK ROUTING and 13,540 LB of JOINT OR CRACK FILLING is proposed. This work will be performed in accordance with Section 452 of the Standard Specifications. All joints or cracks will be routed, cleaned, and sealed, including the joint between the pavement and the gutter pan. Material will be an approved 3405 joint sealant. All inquiries will be addressed either through a pre-bid conference or through an addendum. Town officials or employees are prohibited from discussing this bid except at the pre-bid conference.
