Project: Douglas County Forestry Department in Douglas County, Wisconsin is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Paske Bridge Replacement Project. The existing bridge is a 30' long 10' wide clear span wooden bridge resting on rock and mortar abutments. The existing abutments are cracking and breaking apart. The proposed replacement is a 38' long 12' wide clear span metal bridge. The metal bridge will be set on piles. A sheet metal abutment wall, or similar, will be constructed to protect the piles. All equipment and materials will be brought to the site via Paske Rd. Access is available primarily from the east side of the stream. The horizontal alignment will not deviate from the existing trail. The contractor shall supply engineer stamped structural plans for the bridge structure and sheet pile abutments. This project shall be completed by December 31, 2024. Douglas County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to accept bids most advantageous to Douglas County.
