Renovation of an educational facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Construction of the Donley Center Facade & Roof Renovations located in Lehigh County at 718 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18101. The scope of work for this project includes the provision of all labor, materials, tools, supervision and permits, to replace the existing roofing assembly in its entirety; repair the existing stucco facade; and applying a new elastomeric coating on the building elevations. Alternate scope includes, but is not limited to, window replacement and skylight removal / infill. Work includes General Construction. Questions may be submitted through Online "Clarifications (From Vendors)" tab on or before May 2, 2024. Responses will be provided via online to all registered parties. Construction will be bid for the following Prime Contracts: Contract No. 1 - General Construction Contract; The Project Architect is MKSD Architects, LLC, 1209 Hausman Road, Suite A, Allentown, PA 18104. Questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted via the "Questions" feature within online. Either a Certified Check or a Bid Bond (with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania) drawn to the order of Lehigh Carbon Community College in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with each bid as security. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 (Act No. 442), as amended and supplemented, and reference is made to the prevailing minimum wage rates applicable to this project which have been promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry. Bidders shall prepare their bids after giving consideration to the applicability of said Pennsylvania Wage Act to the work involved and all other laws and regulations, state or federal, applicable to such projects. An abstract of the bids received will be available to bidders on online following the date and time that bids are due as indicated above. NONDISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222. The requirements for bidders and contractors under these enactments are explained in the project documents. Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof, or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants. The Board of Trustees will accept the bid of the lowest responsible bidder when the kinds and quality of supplies and equipment offered are the same or are equal, but they reserve the right to accept or reject any of all bids, to cure any non-material oversight, to withhold award for a period of sixty (60) days, and to award the bid in the best interest of Lehigh Carbon Community College as judged by the Board of Trustees.
