3.1. Pipe Standard Specifications

60” inside smooth wall pipe RCP, HDPE and HP for use in gravity-flow storm drainage applications.
Typically used for the conveyance of stormwater and for the construction of culverts. Applications
include storm drains, culverts, underground stormwater piping and driveway pipe.
STORM DRAINAGE PIPING
Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP): bell and spigot or tongue and groove ends.
1. Pipe Class: Class III with Wall Type B (smooth wall).
2. Fittings: Reinforced concrete with compression gasket.
3. HDPE and HP Joints: with lubricant & gaskets.
4. HDPE 15” – 36” Corrugated Polyethylene Pipe: Type S; with all the required Fittings. shall have a
smooth interior and annular exterior corrugations
5. HP STORM 15”- 60” PIPE. This specification describes 15- through 60-inch HP Storm pipe for use in
gravity-flow storm drainage applications. shall have a smooth interior and annular exterior corrugations
The reinforced concrete RCP, the HDPE Pipe and HP (Gray Pipe)
They all shall consists of: Manufacturing standard designs, as well as joint reinforcement for rubber and
non-rubber gasket joints. The physical properties shall conform to the required test for external load
crushing strength. Project has been cancelled.
