Sealed Bids for construction of the NE Quimby Ave. Water Main Replacement Project, WA24AB. The project includes, but is not limited to, approximately 1,385 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, new hydrants, appurtenant valves and fittings, water main tie- in swith existing water system, 26water service connections including reconnecting to the existing service lines, full street replacement including reconditioning of existing base rock and placing new hot mix asphalt concrete, coordination with existing utilities, restoration of impacted utilities, infrastructure and landscaping ,traffic control, localized curb replacement, storm water infrastructure including a drywell, catch basins, and storm pipe.. Statements made by City representatives at the pre-bid conference are not binding on the City unless confirmed in an addendum. Prequalification is a requirement. Bidders must be prequalified with City of Bend at the time the bids are opened. Prequalification process is administered by the Private Development Engineering Division through the City View permit and licensing software and customer portal. This project is subject to the provisions of ORS 279C.800 through 279C.870 regarding payment of prevailing wages. The City of Bend reserves the right to: 1) reject any or all bids not in compliance with public bidding procedures, 2) to postpone award of the contact for a period not to exceed sixty days from the date of bid opening, 3) to waive informalities in the bids, and 4) to select the bid which appears to be in the interest of the City. Scope of Work Contractor shall construct the NE Quimby Ave. Water Main Replacement Project, WA24AB. The Project is described in more detail in the attached Exhibit A - Scope of Work. Contractor is required to furnish all materials, labor, water, tools, power, equipment, transportation and other work needed to construct the Project, unless otherwise indicated in the Contract Documents.
