Request for Statement of Qualifications Liverpool Wastewater Treatment Plant Cambi System Building Enclosure The Medina County Sanitary Engineers (MCSE) are seeking qualified design- build teams to submit a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to construct a building enclosure over the existing Cambi System at the Liverpool Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 89 Columbia Road, Valley City, OH 44280. The project is anticipated to start July 1, 2024, with a proposed completion by December 31, 2024. MCSE will utilize a progressive design-build (design-build) approach for the procurement and delivery of the project. This approach eliminates the requirements for design and fixed pricing during the process to select the Design-Builder. Question Deadline 05/01/2024 at 4:30 PM ET Project Description The Liverpool Wastewater Treatment facility features the latest thermal hydrolysis process (THP) technology produced by Cambi. THP is a pretreatment process prior to anaerobic digestion of sludge and bio-waste. The unit capacity of the Cambi system installed is 25 dry tons per day, or a population equivalent of approximately 250,000 people. The unit was delivered to the project site fully assembled. It includes a pulper, multiple reactors and a flash tank, plus piping, valves, insulation, cladding, electrical, and instrumentation and controls. This installation represents only the second-ever Cambi installation in the United States. Due to the effects of cold temperatures on the performance of the Cambi system and the lost production and time that the MCSE incurs when temperatures drop below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, the MCSE desires to construct an approximately 8,000 SF building enclosure over the Cambi system. The purpose of the building enclosure will be to maintain a consistent minimum temperature of 55-degrees Fahrenheit during the winter months.
