The work to be done under this project includes furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary to replace the existing Chiller, Cooling Tower, one condenser water pump and two chilled water pumps, and variable frequency drive (VFD) serving AHU-2 with a new (VFD) at Pier 2, Honolulu Harbor, Oahu. Bidders are advised to examine the existing conditions at the project site to familiarize themselves with the nature and extent of work involved. Appointments may be made with the State Harbors Division Maintenance Engineer for clarification of the work involved and the character and quality of materials specified. All Request for Information (RFI) questions and Substitution Requests shall be submitted in HIePRO no later than May 6, 2024, 2:00 p.m., HST Cooling Tower and AC Repairs at Pier 2 Terminal, Honolulu Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. The scope of work consists of replacing the existing cooling tower, chiller and associated pumps, as well as the variable frequency drive (VFD) for air handling unit-2 (AHU-2) at the Pier 2 Passenger Cruise Terminal, Honolulu Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. Major items of work include demolition and removal of existing chiller, cooling tower, and AHU-2 VFD; installation of new chiller, cooling tower and associated pumps, as well as AHU-2 VFD; construction of new support frame for new cooling tower with spring isolators; refurbish existing concrete mounts; mechanical and electrical work; and related appurtenances.
