2024 Water Main Improvements the Improvements to Be Completed as Part of This Project Are Located Between Ogden Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue Within the Parkway of Edgewood, and on Richmond Avenue Between Edgewood Avenue and Park Road in the Village of La Grange Park. All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid or a cashier's check or certified check, made payable to the Order of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of LaGrange Park, as a guarantee that if the bid proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. No bid proposal shall be considered unless accompanied by such bid bond or check. The Contractor and Subcontractor shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. The award of a Contract will be made within forty-five (45) days following the date of the opening of bids. The Village of La Grange Park reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any/all bids. This improvement consists of the installation of 10-inch and 8-inch ductile iron watermain installed under the sidewalks. The improvements to be constructed as part of this project are located within the parkway of Edgewood Avenue from Ogden Avenue to Woodlawn Avenue, and on Richmond Avenue from Park Road to 350 west of Edgewood Avenue in the Village of La Grange Park, IL. The work will include installing approximately 1,000 feet of 8” ductile iron pipe; and 1,800 feet of 10” ductile iron pipe; connecting the new main to existing water mains; pressure testing and chlorinating the affected system; replacement of the public portion of water service and reconnecting existing private side water services; replacement of private side lead water/galvanized water services; and restoration consisting of the replacement of curb and gutter, sidewalk, drainage structures, and landscaped parkways as needed. The work will include installing approximately 1,000 feet of 8” ductile iron pipe; and 1,800 feet of 10” ductile iron pipe;
