General questions may be addressed by emailing questions to Jacob Cease at j.cease@burtnomi.gov or 810 742-9230 ex. 3106. -- Question Acceptance Deadline 05/13/2024 09:00 AM EDT Questions are submitted online No General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Contractors License Required - Insurance Required - License Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % -- Each proposal submitted to the Owner shall be accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, money order or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the total base bid. Proposals submitted without a proposal guarantee will not be read at the bid opening. If a bidder is given a Notice of Award and fails to execute the contract within fifteen (15) calendar days after the Notice, they shall forfeit all claims to the contract, and the Proposal Guarantee shall be forfeited. The right is reserved by the Owner to waive any informality in bids, to reject any or all bids, or accept any bid or combination of bids, which is considered most favorable to the Owner. The Owner may also adjust any work item quantities without adjustment of the bid unit price.
