Contractors are invited to submit sealed bids for the FY 2023-2024 Street & Drainage Maintenance Project. Work includes excavating approximately 450 CY of asphalt pavement and replacing it with 1351 SY of concrete pavement. Add alternate-1 includes cutting and replacing 413 SY of asphalt pavement and 7724 LF of routing and crack sealing. Contractor shall use subcontractors for no more than 50% of the Contract Work. The deadline to ask questions is 5/15/2024 12:00 PM CST Written questions may be submitted by email to martinez@givlerengineering.com prior to noon Friday May 13, 2024. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bids must be submitted in the bid form furnished. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after the above scheduled closing time set for the receipt of bids. Pursuant to V.T.C.S. Art. 5159a not less than the local prevailing wage rate must be paid in this project. The City of Olmos Park reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any formalities and to select the bid deemed in the best interest of the City. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
