Summary The Town of New Milford (Town) is requesting qualifications from professional engineering firms licensed in the State of Connecticut with small scale drainage projects experience to provide drainage engineering and design services. The project goal is for tasks that include, but are not limited to: surveying, wetlands delineation, hydraulic data, storm water analysis, easement acquisitions, final design, and outside agency compliance (IWC, DEEP, etc) on projects that are performed by Town staff or drainage contractor(s) in the Town of New Milford. The New Milford Department of Public Works routinely maintains, adds to, removes or alters its drainage infrastructure system. During this process it is necessary from time to time to seek outside licensed engineering services for tasks that include, but are not limited to: surveying, wetlands delineation, hydraulic data, storm water analysis, easement acquisitions, final design, and outside agency compliance (IWC, DEEP, etc) on projects that are performed by Town staff or drainage contractor(s). Engineering services required will be at varying levels and as needed per project, generally when IWC approvals are needed or easements are added or altered. Examples of projects to include single pipe replacement and diameter change, installation of new drainage system with easements, relocation of existing drainage easements on a parcel, headwall/endwall design on a single pipe or culvert and general survey work for small projects. . Question Submission Deadline:May 6, 2024, 8:00am All questions related to this Proposal shall be submitted in writing through electronically. Question Response Deadline:May 9, 2024, 5:00pm Late proposals will not be accepted and will be rejected. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all submissions. No interpretation of the meaning of the specifications or other documents will be made to any proposer orally. Failure of any proposer to receive any such addenda or interpretation shall not relieve such proposer from any obligation under this proposal as submitted. All addenda so issued shall become part of the contract documents. No other communication with any employee or official of The Town is permitted. Term of Contract Based upon the outcome of this process, The Town will award a one (1) year contract. The town reserves the right to extend this contract an additional two (2) years upon mutual written agreement with the successful bidder The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
