2024 Street Project. Question Deadline 05/09/2024 at 4:00 PM ET. Only those questions submitted online shall be considered. This contract is subject to the following: the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act conditions; the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions; the Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002; the Pennsylvania One Call Act, also known as the Underground Utility Line Protection Law, Act 287 of 1974, as amended; the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 Conditions; the Non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations Conditions; requirement of a Non-collusion affidavit; and the Public Works Employment Verification Act. The work will include, but not necessarily be limited to, 3,850 SY of milling, 185 tons leveling course, 370 tons wearing course, curb ramp replacements, and other work specified in the contract. Accompanying this proposal is a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Bid Amount made payable to the municipality as a proposal guarantee which, it is understood, will be forfeited in case the contractor fails to comply with the requirements of the proposal. If designated as the successful bidder, the contractor will begin work on the date specified in the notice to proceed, or as otherwise provided in the special requirements, and will complete all work on or before October 1, 2024. If all work is not completed on time, liquidated damages will be assessed at the rate as specified in the Special Provisions to Contract MS-944. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Estimated Contract Value: Base Bid: $100,000-$125,000. Paxtang Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids.
