The scope of this project is Bank Lane, from Wisconsin Avenue on the north, to Vine Avenue on the south. The short term implementation of the plan is anticipated to occur on the blocks immediately north and south of Deerpath. The development of the Plan may focus on, but not limited to, the following. Street and sidewalk widths. Transitions between streets and sidewalks. Treatment of corners. Hardscape materials. Traffic direction - one way, two way, north or south. Coordination with the planned improvements on Deerpath. Need, or lack thereof, for additional right of way. Pedestrian amenities - benches, public art, murals, gathering areas. Convertible blocks - elements that provide safe and easy ways to close blocks to vehicles during special events or street dining. Bicycle and scooter parking. Pedestrian connections. Signage and lighting.
