INTENT: The intent of this bid is to establish a term contract to purchase and delivery water treatment chemicals to be used by the City and Borough of Juneau (City or CBJ) Public Works Water Utility (PWWU), Salmon Creek filtration plant. The chemicals are to be packaged in NSF 60 Food Grade quality sealed drums. Chemicals will be ordered on an "as-needed" basis, every other month, unless needs change. Quantities may be adjusted as used or needed. The City does not guarantee any minimum or maximum quantities. CONTRACT PERIOD: The contract will be in effect from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 with an automatic annual renewal period for three (3) additional years, with the final expiration date of June 30, 2028. Award will be made by Total Bid to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting all requirements. CHEMICALS: All chemicals will be NSF 60 Certified, documentation must be included with the bid. Sodium Hypochlorite (12.5%); Sodium Bisulfite (38 - 40%); Citric Acid (50%); Caustic Soda (25%), Solar salt crystals (99.8% pure salt).
