ARCHITECT'S ESTIMATE RANGE: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,0000. Description Juneau-Douglas Treatment Plant Coarse Screens: The improvements include demolition of the existing grit system, construction of new piping, concrete channels and slabs, new grating, providing and installing two new perforated plate coarse screens with washer/compactors, electrical connection of screens, partial demolition of the headworks building roof, modification and new roof construction, removal and replacement of exterior wall, replacement of lighting and sprinkler systems. Work will include temporarily diverting incoming sewage until new piping is installed. Juneau-Douglas Treatment Plant Grit: The improvements include constructing new vaults, channels, grating and railing, and providing and installing new multi-tray grit removal equipment, grit washing and dewatering equipment, and processing equipment including pumps, piping and appurtenances including associated electrical connections. Upgrades to the non-potable water (NPW) system for the facility including new pumps installed in the existing incinerator building on the southern side of the facility, yard piping from the incinerator building to the existing headworks building and future receiving station, and above grade piping and appurtenances to connect NPW water to new equipment. The Work to be performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all plant, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, manufactured articles and furnishing all labor, transportation, and services, including all fuel, power, water, and essential communications and performing all Work, or other operations required for the fulfillment of the contract in strict accordance with the Contract Documents.
