The City and Borough of Juneau (City or CBJ) Eaglecrest Ski Area seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide labor, materials, tools and rigging to assist in haul rope splicing and inspections of aerial chair lifts. Knight Equipment is contracted to perform inspections and splicing this July (July 5 - July 31, 2024). Eaglecrest personnel will coordinate exact time frame with awarded vendor and Knight Equipment. CONTRACT PERIOD: The contract will be in effect from date of award through August 30, 2024. Eaglecrest is seeking a qualified contractor to provide labor, materials and rigging equipment to support services for inspections and splicing of the aerial haul rope for two (2) chairlifts, Hooter and Ptarmigan. Knight Equipment will be preforming the splicing and related inspections. Both chair lifts are Riblet double chair lifts. Hooter is 3,027 linear feet, 612 vertical feet, with 99 chair carriers. Ptarmigan is 4,691 linear feet, 1,392 vertical feet with 125 chair carriers. Eaglecrest estimates five (5), ten (10) hour days will be needed for the Contractor to perform all work. Estimated time frame for performing work and supplying equipment is July 5, 2024 through July 31, 2024. Eaglecrest personnel will coordinate with Knight Services and the awarded contractor to ensure a successful project completion within the specified time frame.
