East Locust Street Rehabilitation Project - Grand to Eastern Estimated cost is $1,550,000. There are no Working Days for this contract. The Contractor shall complete all work, including final clean up and removal of all equipment for the bid by November 1, 2024. Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per day For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so. Scope of Work and Scheduling This project is located on East Locust Street, extending from Grand Avenue to Eastern Avenue. The proposed improvements include, but are not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for the mill and overlay of the existing roadway, signalization improvements at Grand Avenue, sanitary sewer repairs, sidewalk ADA compliant ramps, reset all existing utility surface features to finish grade, pavement markings, replacement of the adjacent driveway approaches, topsoil, sodding, and erosion control. The quantities herein represent the Engineer's estimate of the amount of work to be completed. Actual as-built quantities may vary from bid quantities. The contract time shall be per SUDAS Section 1080-1.02, A.1, Completion Date Contracts. The contract site is currently available.
