The State of Utah - Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is requesting bids for the construction of the following project: Weber State University Dee Events Center Abatement Asbestos abatement per the Scope of Work QUESTIONS DEADLINE TUESDAY, MAY 14, 2024 3:00 PM Scope of Work: WSU Dee Events Center, 1447 Edvalson Street, Ogden, Utah 844008 Anticipated Start Date: Mobilization 1: November 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 Mobilization 2: June 2, 2025 to August 31, 2025 Mobilization 3: November 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 It is anticipated that this work will occur over at least three mobilizations. If additional mobilizations will be needed to accommodate the owner's schedule, the unit cost sheet will be utilized via a Change Order. 1. Ceiling Tile Adhesive a. Contractor shall remove all Ceiling Tile Adhesive from the building. This material contains up to 2% chrysotile asbestos. There is approximately 2,985 square feet of material to be removed. This material is not currently friable. Contractor shall remove all ceiling tile and gypsum board, but leave the ceiling framing intact as part of this removal. This will better enable the installation of HVAC cassettes. 2. Floor Coating (Black) a. Contractor shall spot abatement of the Black Floor Coating from the Chiller Tower Area. This material contains 6% asbestos. There is approximately 48 square feet of material to be removed. This material is not currently friable.
