The design and construction of garage guardrail system improvements at the Bell St. Central Garage by evaluating the existing conditions, structure of reinforced concrete with post-tensioned slabs and beams. Design and install code compliant vehicle barrier system and associated panels, gate, and doors. The scope of work consists of evaluating the existing conditions, design, permitting, and construction. Construction in a manner that preserves ongoing parking operations. The design and construction of garage guardrail system improvements at the Bell St. Central Garage by evaluating the existing conditions, structure of reinforced concrete with posttensioned slabs and beams. Design and install code compliant vehicle barrier system and associated panels, gate, and doors. At the design-builder's option, the design may reuse portions of the existing barriers in the new design. Evaluate affected structural components as necessary. Propose and explore options for appealing aesthetics and appearances through materials and/or color. Provide a design solution that allows for maintainability. The anticipated contract execution date is August 9, 2024. Substantial completion is expected October 24, 2025. Construction Notice to Proceed September 8, 2024 RFP Questions Deadline May 28, 2024.
