Project Location: Sonny Drive, E. 10th Street, E. 9th Street, E. 8th Street Berwick, PA 18603 . A. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. Demolition: Removal of existing pavement. 2. Proposed Work: Installation of stormwater conveyance structures and pipes including 48 Dia. Seepage Tanks and pavement. B. Type of Contract 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Anticipated Notice of Award: May 28, 2024 Questions may be submitted through PennBid's Messages/Vendor Discussions tab on or before 3:00 PM on May 20, 2024. Thompson Run Dry Well Installations The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, and oversight required to install storm water seepage tanks at the end of Sonny Drive, E. 10th Street, E. 9th Street, and E. 8th Street. The work will also include storm water inlets and piping and pavement. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. A Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing Wage Rates shall apply. All Prime Contractor Bidders must be Online Prequalified as a Prime Contractor and for the tasks they complete, and all subcontractors must be Online Prequalified as a Sub-Contractor for the tasks assigned. Immediately following the due date and time, all bids received through Online will be opened online at the Engineer's Office and referred to the Township of Salem for final award. An abstract of the bids received will be available to bidders on Online following the date and time that bids are due as indicated above. The Township of Salem reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions or to waive any informalities in bidding and to withhold award for a period of sixty days.
