Each Bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work Bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: Class A or C-57. Bidders are advised that this Contract is a public work for purposes of the California Labor Code, which requires payment of prevailing wages. City has obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations the general prevailing rates, and will place them on file at the City's office and make them available to any interested party upon request. Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor's and subcontractors' current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective Bids received. Work will generally include but not be limited to the following: 1. Mobilize equipment on (and off) the project site. 2. Disconnect and remove the existing Booster Pump D, motor, piping and all other appurtenances. Re-install new booster pump/motor assembly and all new appurtenances in accordance with Bid Schedule. 3. Modify and reconnect electrical wiring to adapt to the new Booster Pump D. 4. Start-up testing of electrical and control systems. 5. Complete site clean-up and repair of damaged facilities as necessary.
