Saving Project...

Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Cumberland, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.

Removal of asbestos containing pipe insulation in the tunnels beneath the school. There are approximately 1,182 Linear Feet of tunnels as indicated in YELLOW on the included drawings. All tunnels contain steam and condensate piping and other also contain domestic hot and cold water. See the drawings for the piping indications and line sizes. Some insulation has failed and is lying in the bottom of the tunnels. ALL INSULATION SHALL BE CONSIDERED TO CONTAIN ASBESTOS AND SHALL BE REMOVED. Please contact Mr. Jay Marley, Supervisor of Maintenance and Construction, at william.marleyiii@acpsmd.org with any questions in regards to the bidding process or the specification. Work may begin on July 1, 2024 and should be completed by August 2, 2024. Emailed submissions should have PARKSIDE ES - ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROPOSAL in the subject line. Mailed proposals should be in sealed envelopes with PARKSIDE ES - ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROPOSAL marked conspicuously on the font. The Board of Education of Allegany County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive formalities informalities, and technicalities therein. The Board reserves the right to contact a Bidder for clarifications and may, at its sole discretion, allow a Bidder to correct all formalities, informalities and technicalities in the best interest of the Board.
