Qualified Firms (hereafter noted as "Firm") are invited to submit sealed qualifications to provide Professional Design Services - Kirkwood Ice Rink Renovations for the City of Kirkwood in accordance with the specifications contained herein This project consists of the following: i. A new ice system which includes refrigeration system, ice rink floor, and waste heat recovery systems for sub-floor heating and snow melting. ii. An indirect refrigeration system including equipment, piping, insulation, valves, refrigerant, brine, gas monitoring system, controls, motor control center, electrical, accessories and all other necessary materials and labor required for a complete operating system. iii. A new concrete ice rink floor which includes floor insulation, vapor barrier, pipe supports, piping, reinforcement, concrete, expansion joint, accessories and all other necessary materials and labors required for a complete operating system. iv. Waste heat recovery systems for sub-floor heating and snow melting including sand, piping, coil for pit, heat exchanger, pumps, valves, glycol, controls, electrical, accessories and all other necessary materials and labor required for complete operating systems. v. New dasher board system with scorers, players and penalty boxes. vi. Building envelope upgrades including new exterior wall at north elevation and new windows above bleachers along east elevation. vii. New architectural finishes including rubber flooring, painting and graphics. b. The Kirkwood Ice Rink Project will be completed in one phase starting at mobilization with continuous work through project completion. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to coordinate scopes of work to minimize operational impacts and to maintain the intended project schedule. c. Refer to Specification Section 131816 - 1.02 that states the qualifications for Dasher Board MFR's and list approved MFR's at this time. d. Ensure that each sub-contractor has full sets of drawings and specifications. For example, there might be equipment on the refrigeration drawing that will state to be hooked up by electrical contractor. e. Please list your Project Managers and Superintendents that you wish to put on this project along with references for them. f. Be advised of the tight construction schedule as the facility has to be up and running for Tryouts in August for several organizations
