The project will consist of the City of Wallis Water Well #1 Rehabilitation. Improvements will include but not to be limited to Removal & Re-installation of all aboveground & downhole equipment Mechanical Cleaning Air Lifting/Jetting TV Video Camera Surveys New Turbine Pump Production Test to Determine Specific Capacity Disinfection/Bacteriological Samples Vertical Turbine Pump & Motor, Additional Cleaning/Air Lifting/Jetting, Acid/Chlorination Cleaning and Sonar Jet Cleaning. Water Well 1 Rehab A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $ 100,000], A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Wallis or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The work associated with this project will not be allowed to start until October 1, 2024 when Water Well 1 can be taken out of service. Work shall be complete by December 31,2024. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because ofrace, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City of Wallis reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities and informalities in the bidding.
