Coulterville Valve Replacement; at the intersection of Broadway and Cemetery Road remove the existing watermain four-way crossing assembly and apparatuses including and not limited to sections of existing six-inch (6") and eight-inch (8") watermain pipe, valves, and fittings and replace per plan with one (1) additional valve. Work also includes replacement and installation of existing and new additional gate valves at various locations, and abandonment of a pressure relief valve (PRV) and vault to be replaced with a six-inch (6") spool as shown on plans. This work requires but not limited to saw cutting, excavation and sub-base preparation; thrust blocking, chlorine swab during assembly, backfill, compaction, and hot mix asphalt roadway restoration. Work requires coordination with the county's Utility Department, watermain shutdown, and public notifications. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by Owner to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The lowest bid price shall be determined on the basis of the lowest amount of the sum total listed as the TOTAL BASE BID in the Bid Form. The County may award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. The lowest bid shall be determined by the lowest responsive and responsible bid for the TOTAL BASE BID in the Bid Form. The bidder must bid all items to be eligible for award.
