The City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD) owns and maintains over 109 bridge, boardwalk, and culvert structures, with the inventory continually expanding as CRPD advances its greenway trail program and constructs new parks and facilities. The CRPD bridge inspection program is dedicated to upholding the safety standards of bridges while also establishing dependable cost forecasts for future enhancements. Aligned with the protocols of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) bridge inventory and inspection program, CRPD's approach is tailored to meet its unique objectives and seamlessly integrates with its asset planning software, AssetPlanner(TM), developed in collaboration with Ameresco. This strategic alignment ensures that the program not only prioritizes safety but also optimizes resource allocation for sustained infrastructure improvements. The offeror is encouraged to propose scope modifications as they see fit. The scope and fee will be negotiated and finalized when an offeror is selected.
Inspect/Audit all CRPD bridges based on CRPD's Standard Operating Procedures for Bridge Inspection using existing Ameresco Asset Planner software. Add new bridge data to Asset Planner software. Update existing bridge data with updated audit information. Update CRPD Standard Operating Procedures for Bridge Inspection, as needed. Identify CRPD of any urgent and important safety concern with the bridges. Work with CRPD to identify and develop a bridge renovation program for fiscal years 2025 and 2026 based on the results of the bridge inspections/audits.
