The Village of Whitefish Bay is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of wood fence and placement of new chain link fence. Each bid proposal must be submitted on the bid/proposal forms provided in the Contract Documents and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Village of Whitefish Bay and marked "Bid" with the project name. The project consists of the removal and replacement of wood fence and placement of new chain link fence. Project includes all labor, equipment, materials and all work necessary in connection with the construction of: (All quantities are approximate) Section A 710 lf 6' Milled Stockade Wood Fence Section B 430 lf 4' Black Powder Coated Chain Link Fence The Contract Documents require that the selected Contractor furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Payment and Performance Bonds. The Contractor is hereby notified that the Certificate of Insurance and Payment and Performance Bonds will be required to be issued in the amount of the bid and that the Village of Whitefish Bay reserves the right to enforce the conditions contained therein as it relates to the contract. Statutory Provisions: 1. The contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes, including Sections 61.55, 61.56, 62.15, 66.0901, 66.0903, 779.14 and 779.16. 2. Contractors and Subcontractors will comply with applicable Regional, State, and Federal requirements for wages. 3. "Qualification of Bidder" forms for the current year shall be on file with the Public Works Department at least four (4) days prior to the affixed time of the Bid Opening, in accordance with Section 66.0903 of the Wisconsin State Statutes. Only those bids that are accompanied by a Bid Bond or unqualified certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid will be considered. The Bid Bond or certified check shall be issued in the applicable amount of the bid for the Village of Whitefish Bay. The bid bond or certified check serves as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the agreement and a 100% Performance and Payment Bond within fifteen (15) days after the Notice of Award. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set forth, the certified check or Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Village of Whitefish Bay as liquidated damages. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the Village of Whitefish Bay. The Village of Whitefish Bay reserves the right to reject any or all bids, reserves the right to accept any bid most advantageous, or waive any technicality.
