Furnishing of all labor and materials and performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the Downtown Micro-Surfacing and Improvement Project. The work in this project consists generally of asphalt base failure repair, cleaning and sealing of pavement cracks, application of micro-seal surfacing material and application of thermoplastic traffic markings. All other related items of work required to complete the project are shown and specified in the Contract Documents. The Contract Time Will Be One Hundred Thirty-five (135) Consecutive Calendar Days. Liquidated Damages Will Be $500 Per Consecutive Calendar Day Thereafter. State Law Requires a Non- Resident Bidder to Attach Include a Copy of His Resident State's Current Law Pertaining to Such State's Treatment of Non-resident Contractors With Heir Bid. Any Bid Submitted by a Non-resident Contract Which Does Not Include the Non- Resident Contractor's Current State Law Shall Be Rejected and Not Considered for Award. Bid Bond, Signed, Countersigned by a Mississippi Resident Agent, With Power O Attorney Attached or on File With the City, a Cashier's Check O Certified Check for Five (5% Percent of Bid, Payable to City of Natchez, Mississippi Must Accompany Proposal. Each No Bid May Be Altered, Modified or Withdrawn Within Sixty (60) Days After Being Filed With the Board of Aldermen. The City of Natchez reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, to negotiate with the lowest and best bidder to reduce the bid price to come within the funds allocated for the work, to reduce the job in order to stay within available funding or as desirable in the discretion of the Board of Aldermen, and to accept bids by classes and/or groups, if applicable, all as set forth and in accordance with applicable Mississippi law and in the Instructions to Bidders.
