Closing Time: 4:30 PM (NT) Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/05/24 05:00:00 PM NDT The Nunatsiavut Government is seeking bids from qualified contractors to complete short-term improvements to the on site sewage disposal system and Torngat Mountains Basecamp and Research Station. The work involves the removal, storage, transportation, and disposal of waste material in the septic tanks and dosing chamber. The Nunatsiavut Government Would Like to Complete Short-term Improvements to the on-site Sewage Disposal System. The Project Generally Consists of the Removal, Storage, Transportation, and Disposal of Sludge in the Septic Tanks and Dosing Chamber Located at the Base Camp, Along With Any Additional Work Requested. The Scope of Work Generally Includes, but is Not Necessarily Limited to, All Items Shown on the Project Drawings and More Particularly Described in the Merx Schedule of Quantities, Items Included in This Section, and Any Additional Work as Directed by the Engineer. The Scope of Work for the Project Includes the Following: Mobilization of All Labour, Equipment, and Materials to the Project Site. Mobilization Will Require Use of a Barge. The Barge to is Remain on Site During Operations. A Portion of the Barge Will Be Granted to the Nunatsiavut Government for Transportation of a 2016 Caterpillar 236d Skid Steer With Bucket From Site, as Well as Shipping a Similar Unit With an Excavator Attachment and Tracks to the Site. The Specifications for the 236d Model Can Be Found in Appendix F. O the Nunatsiavut Government Will Require Stops in Goose Bay and Nain on The Trips to and From Base Camp to Transport Materials and Supplies. The Contractor Shall Provide Adequate Room on the Barge for All Extra Materials And Supplies. Removal of Sludge From Wastewater Tanks. Any Ice in the Tanks Will Need to Be Defrosted. Cleaning and Sanitization of the Wastewater Tanks and Dosing Chamber. Transportation and Disposal of Sludge. Visual and Camera Inspection of the Septic System. Fabrication and Installation of a 5m X 5m Concrete Pad, Which Will Hold Burn Barrels to Prevent Ash/tar From Seeping Into the Ground. The Concrete Pad May Be Precast and Transported to Site, or May Be Cast on Site. The Concrete Pad Detail Can Be Found in Appendix E. Installation of a New Grease Trap Located in the Kitchen of the Base Camp. All Reinstatement and Cleaning of Properties as Required. The Completion of All Deficiencies as Directed by the Engineer Including Final Cleanup and Demobilization From the Project Site.
