This project requires that all contractors wishing to bid as the prime must be pre-qualified by the Office of Facilities and Property Management. Each bid submitted in connection with this Project shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, payable without condition to the State of Kansas. Said bidder shall also provide a Performance Bond for the full amount of the Contract. In addition, the bidder will be required to furnish a Public Works Bond for a project of $100,000 or greater, for the full amount of the contract. Phase 1: Phase 1 work includes sitework and building construction as identified in the drawings including FESB (Alternate 1), RESB, Fuel Island, and Grain bins. Once these facilities and complete and in use the corresponding existing construction (Existing RESB, Existing fuel island, Existing grain bins) may be demolished, preparing the site for the construction of the Phase 2 work. 2. Phase 2: Perform the remaining Work including construction of North Research Building, South Research Building and Innovation Center. Once Phase 2 buildings are complete and occupied, the existing Dryer building will be demolished and final site grading and dressing completed.
