Description of work: 2024 pave - pipe & catch basin project - remove and replace existing pipe And basins (as per attached worksheet) - milling of bituminous pavement, 1" scratch & level ,1.5" of 9.5 mm superpave wearing course (as per Worksheet) according to pa dot pub 408 specs Work shall consist of milling of bituminous (approx. 4,933 S.Y), installation of Super Pave, 9.5 mm, scratch and leveling course (approx. 296 TON), installation Super Pave, 9.5 mm, wearing course (approx. 444 TON), replacement of 15' pipe (approx. 860 L.F.), replacement of 11 inlets as noted and according to special provisions contained in the Bidding Documents and PennDOT publication 408 specifications. Bids must be submitted upon the forms furnished by the Borough and pursuant to contract instructions contained in the Bidding Documents . The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable Tunkhannock Borough. PA prevailing wage rates are required and included with this contract for bidding purposes. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $870.00 per calendar day. The successful Bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent of the Contract Price as further described in the Bidding Documents. Except for Bids properly withdrawn prior to the opening of Bids, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid until sixty days after the date of opening of Bids. The right is reserved by Tunkhannock Borough to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or defects or to accept the Bid that, in the judgment of Tunkhannock Borough, will be in its best interest.
