Install 1,575 LF of storm sewer from 10" to 24", 110 LF of 16" DIP water main replacement, 60 LF of 10" water main lining and other miscellaneous appurtenances all in accordance with the Plans and specifications. Contractor shall note that proposed storm sewers crossing Broadway Avenue (Pipes 7A-9A & 6E-6A, Manhole 6E) shall be constructed at night or on weekends to limit impacts to and to help better manage traffic. One lane of traffic shall be maintained at all times. Flaggers, as needed, shall be included in the lump sum traffic control pay item. Mechanical compaction shall be utilized and temporary patch shall be installed immediately afterwards to allow traffic patterns to be reinstated. Overtime costs above standard rates will be compensated via the Items Ordered by Engineer pay item. Location: Broadway Avenue from Spring Street to E Downer Place The City encourages minority business firms to submit proposals and encourages the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. The City of Aurora has a local preference ordinance that would apply to this contract.
