Renovation of a municipal facility in Apex, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
**As of August 7, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The Project is expected to be awarded mid August.** Work includes interior renovations of the first floor of the Apex Town Hall Building to accommodate the Finance Department. The area of renovation is approximately +/- 4,300 sf and includes exterior improvements to the southwest side of the building. Interior renovation work includes selective demolition, new interior framing and suspended ceilings, modifications to the existing mechanical systems, reuse and rework of the existing electrical systems, new plumbing fixtures, and new finishes and casework. Exterior Improvements include new storefront infill at existing entrance archway and new lighting. Building portions outside of the area of renovation will remain occupied during construction. Bids will be received for single prime contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. In accordance with General Statute GS 133-3, specifications may list one or more preferred brands as an alternate to the base bid in limited circumstances. Specifications containing a preferred brand alternate under this section must identify the performance standards that support the preference. Performance standards for the preference must be approved in advance by the Owner in an open meeting. Any alternate approved by the Owner shall be approved only where (i) the preferred alternate will provide cost savings, maintain or improve the functioning of any process or system affected by the preferred item or items, or both, and (ii) a justification identifying these criteria is made available in writing to the public Question Deadline 06/04/2024 **Salisbury Moore Construction requests sub bids no later than 2:00 PM on June 12, 2024.
