If on this date the Boonton Public School District is closed to all students and all staff or has an early dismissal due to weather or any other emergency that closes all schools and offices for all students and all staff prior to 10:00 a.m., bids will be due at 10:00 a.m. on the next day that the school district is open. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications to be enclosed in sealed opaque envelopes bearing the name of the job: "Hallway Media Displays Renovation at Boonton High School - 306 Lathrop Ave, Boonton NJ 07005", and the name and address of the bidder on the outside of the envelope, addressed to: "Steven Gardberg, Boonton Public School District ". The school district is not responsible for bids opened prior to the bid opening if bid name and opening date do not appear on the envelope. Bids opened prior to the due date and time indicated are invalid. The bidder assumes the risk of any delay in the mail or in the handling of the mail by employees of Boonton Public School District as well as of improper hand delivery. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the "Boonton Public School District ", in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Last day to submit RFI's to be answered is Friday, May 17, 2024, 12:00 p.m. Although the pre-bid meeting and walk-thru are not mandatory, it is highly recommended that all potential bidders make arrangements to visit the site. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and waive any minor informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, if it is in the best interest of the Owner. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner.
