The City of Redwood City is soliciting bids from qualified and licensed electricians to furnish all necessary supervision, labor, tools, equipment, and materials needed to make modifications, additions, inspect, test, and repair electrical control systems to all City owned and/or operated facilities for the Water and Wastewater Divisions. An awarded contract resulting from this bid will have a one-year term and may be renewed for up to two (2) consecutive, two (2) year terms after the initial contract period, at the discretion and approval of the City. Deadline for questions / clarifications Friday, May 17, 2024 Inquiries relating to this NIB and/or the required services should be directed to: Cindy Avila, Management Analyst Phone: 650-780-5742 Email: cavila@redwoodcity.org The contractor shall furnish all necessary supervision, labor, tools, equipment, and materials needed to make modifications, additions, test, inspect, and repair electrical control systems to all City Water and Wastewater Divisions owned and/or operated pumping, storage and distribution facilities. Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to the following electrical related work items at approximately 70 locations around the City complying with State and San Mateo County codes: o Work with up to 480 volt 3-phase power o Connections and wiring for 4-20mA circuits o Instrumentation troubleshooting and calibrations o Electrical panel and component replacements o Procurement and installation of a variety of electrical components o Wiring , conduit and circuit protection replacement, repairs and installation. o Motor Control Center components including but not limited to motor starters, control relays, soft starters, and variable frequency drives o Industrial Control Systems o Protective Relays (electromechanical and solid-state) o Instrumentation Transformers (PT, CT, Phase-Shifting, etc.) o Meters (analog, digital, panel/process, shunt, etc.) Provide electrical testing and repair services as required to keep Water and Wastewater Divisions electrical systems and equipment operating safely and efficiently 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to include weekend and holidays and to respond to the service location within two hours of receiving notification from the Water and Wastewater Divisions Superintendents or designee Work includes connections to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), but does not include programming of PLCs or SCADA Optional: Ability to provide new or markups to existing drawings and electrical diagrams.
