The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, technical personnel, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and services, including utility and transportation services that are such an inseparable part of the work described that exclusion would render performance by Contractor impractical, illogical, or unconscionable. Furthermore, Contractor shall perform and complete all work required for the construction of the Improvements embraced in the Project; namely, Wimberley Square Paving and required supplemental work, all in strict accordance with the contract documents including all addenda thereto (hereinafter referred to as the Work). All Work shall be performed in a good and workmanlike manner according to industry standards. The parties agree that the Statement of Work and the addenda to this Contract is a description of Contractor's obligations and responsibilities and is deemed to include preliminary considerations and prerequisites. Question Deadline 05/23/2024 at 5:00 PM CT Wimberley Square Paving - Project generally includes: 4,336 square yards of mill & hot-mix asphaltic concrete pavement overlay, and restriping of the project area. Bids must be submitted on City of Wimberley bid forms and must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security in the form of a cashier's check or bid bond, payable to the City of Wimberley, Texas, equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the name of the project as shown above, and the name and address of the Bidder. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond and payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. Should this solicitation fail to contain sufficient information in order for interested firms to obtain a clear understanding of the services required by the City, or should it appear that the instructions outlined in the solicitation are not clear or are contradictory, any interested firm may in writing request clarification from Chad Gilpin, P.E., no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday May 23, 2024. The interested firm shall email a copy of the written clarification request to Ryan Bell, at rbell@gilpinengineering.com and Written requests from interested firms and written responses by the City will be provided to all Applicants. BIDDER agrees to commence Work under this Contract on a date to be specified in written "Notice to Proceed" of the OWNER and to reach Substantial Completion of the Work within thirty (30) calendar days thereafter. BIDDER further agrees to pay, as liquidated damages, the sum for each consecutive working day thereafter as provided in Division C, Section 7 thereafter that Substantial Completion has not been reached as provided in the Agreement The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any nonconforming Bid and to award the Contract in a period of time not exceeding 60 days from the Bid opening date. Bids shall remain firm for that period.
