The work involves road pavement work to be funded under the Chapter 90 program as well as with town appropriations. Work will include Asphalt Cold Planing, Bituminous Concrete Paving, Pavement Reclaiming and Grading, and other pavement related work. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security (certified, treasurer’s or cashier’s check or bid bond) in the sum of five (5) percent of the Total Bid is required The successful bidder(s) must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The period for this contract is expected to be for a period of one year from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, inclusive, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. The Owner, being considered the sole and only judge, reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject, any or all Bids, should the Owner deem it to be in the owner’s best interest to do so
