Site work and paving for a road / highway in Westminster, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Remove unsuitable material, install new gravel/graded base, grade and pave approximately 775 feet of cemetery roads. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Whitmanville Cemetery a. Remove and dispose of approximately 250 SY of unsuitable material (10-inches in depth) and replace with new dense processed gravel. Finish grade and roll with a 5-ton vibratory roller. b. Pave areas in item a. with 2-1/2 inches of new bituminous concrete binder. Roll with 5-ton vibratory roller. Apply tack coat between new binder and existing pavement. c. Seal all joints that meet existing pavement. d. Jackhammer large boulders in the area. Woodside Cemetery a. Repair and mill existing pavement. Regrade roads with existing asphalt regrind with processed gravel. b. Pave area, approximately 800 SY, with 2-1/2 inches of commercial grade bituminous concrete. Roll with 5-ton vibratory roller. Apply tack coat between new pavement and existing pavement. c. Seal all joints that meet existing pavement. Exit and entrance shall be aproned to provide a smooth transition.
