This contract provides for the rehabilitation of North Archie Street for approximately 3,116 linear feet from the IH10 feeder road to Garland Street. Project includes replacement of existing roadway with a new concrete roadway, roadside ditch improvements including culvert replacement. Alamo Street improvements include improvements to the crossing at Schoolhouse Ditch, including slope stabilization and improve road surface, and adjacent ditches. Aery Street improvements include improvements to a deteriorated pavement area. A Pre-Bid Conference will NOT be held on this project A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Vidor or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. All questions shall be received through online or in writing via email and addressed by Addendum. Question will be received until Friday, May 29, 2024, at 5:00PM, CST. Questions submitted after this time & date will not be answered. 1. The Contractor shall restore the work route to its original condition or better prior to acceptance by the Owner. 2. The Contractor shall contact Mr. Percy Flanigan at (409) 769-0203 prior to starting any work within the project area. 3. Any changes in quantities will be addressed by change order and will have to be approved by the Owner before any work 4. All excess materials removed during the course of the project will have to be properly disposed of by the Contractor. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City of Vidor reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City Vidor for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
