Questions Due Date: May 22nd 2024, 12:00 PM EDT Online Portal The work generally consists of routine maintenance including, but not limited to, sanitary and storm sewer replacement/repairs and possible emergency repairs to the system. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP AUTHORITY in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with the provisions in the Instructions to Bidders. The lowest bidder, as determined by the AUTHORITY, will have 3 business days from notice by the AUTHORITY to produce the original bid bond along with other original documents as referenced in the Instruction to Bidders to the AUTHORITY. Each Proposal must be complete and the right is reserved to reject any and all Proposals and to accept any Proposal deemed to be most favorable to the interests of the AUTHORITY. The SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP AUTHORITY shall award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or shall reject all bids within sixty (60) days following the bid opening and no bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration of such sixty (60) day period; provided, however, that if the award of the contract is delayed by required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant, the AUTHORITY shall reject all Bids or award the contract to the lowest responsible Bidder within one hundred twenty (120) days of the date of the Bid opening and no Bidder may withdraw his Bid before the expiration of such one hundred twenty (120) day period. Thirty (30) day extensions of the date for the award of the contract may be made by the mutual written consent of the SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP AUTHORITY and the lowest responsible bidder. Notice is given that the project for which construction bids are being solicited hereby is a project constituting public works and depending upon bid amount, may be subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented. If subject to the acts, appropriate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provisions of said act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work.
