West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors to provide all labor, material, equipment, and services to furnish and install 1,500 linear feet of membrane side and end laps for all three levels, install new EPDM corner patches at all roof penetrations and inside and outside corners of wall flashings, install new 500 linear feet of new 9" strip-in at gravel stop fascia, and install new penetration flashing boots at pipe penetrations. To protect the integrity of the process, any questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Bid/Proposal must be handled through the Department of Procurement, Contracting, & Payment Services. Completion Dates The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion. Substantial Completion shall be November 15, 2024 Final Completion shall be December 13, 2024 Final Completion shall be when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the Owner. Liquidated Damages The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per calendar day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per calendar day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
