The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and services required for the construction of the above described project as included in the Contract Documents; consisting of the following items of work: New pads for generators at ten sites including subgrade preparation, installation of concrete pads with reinforcement. conduit for future electrical connections, retaining walls at two locations, and all appurtenant work; all in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the North Salt Lake City Engineering Department. The Generator Pad Installation Project is for the construction of ten concrete pads for future generators to be placed. Generators have been purchased, but will not be installed as part of this project. Reinforced concrete pads will be constructed at ten different locations in North Salt Lake, and range from 15.0 ft x 6.75 ft x 10 in thick to 18.5 ft x 8.25 ft x 12 in thick. Due to existing slopes, retaining walls are required at two of the sites. All concrete pads will include conduits for the power connection to the new generators, but all electrical work and connection to the pump station(s) will be done by others. Conduit will be stubbed approximately 18" outside of concrete pad for future use by others. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid price, drawn payable to the order of the City of North Salt Lake.. Bid Security will be returned to each unsuccessful Bidder. All Bids submitted shall be in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders, which are included in the Contract Documents; and shall be guaranteed by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the Bid opening. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented or to waive any informality in a bid and to make the award in the best interest of the City.
